ABOUT THE JEWELRY

Is your jewelry handmade?

Yes. Every piece of Painted Raina handmade acrylic jewelry is assembled by hand in my Wisconsin studio. Most designs are original. Even when working with classic symbols or geometric forms, each piece is curated — from material selection to proportion and color architecture.

Nothing is mass produced or factory manufactured.

Is each piece made to order?

Yes. Our statement earrings and acrylic statement necklaces are assembled after purchase. Production typically takes 2–7 business days, depending on complexity.

Your jewelry is made intentionally — not pulled from bulk inventory.

Will my piece look exactly like the photos?

Each item is handmade, and slight variations are normal — especially with specialty acrylic and iridescent finishes.

Many materials are chosen specifically for their luminosity and light-shifting qualities. Colors may deepen, brighten, or shift depending on lighting conditions and screen settings. Some acrylic finishes transform dramatically in sunlight.

That dimensionality is part of the design.

Are your statement earrings and necklaces heavy?

Earrings range from feather-light to lightweight but noticeable, depending on design complexity.

Our bold statement necklaces are engineered to feel substantial while remaining wearable — typically light for their size to medium weight. They are designed to make impact without discomfort.

What materials are used?

Pieces are crafted using specialty acrylics selected for clarity, durability, and light interaction.

Findings include:
• Nickel-free stainless steel
• Gold-plated and silver-plated metals
• Sterling silver options

Multiple ear wire styles are available, including hooks, leverbacks, studs, and clip-ons.

All ear wires are nickel-free.

How do I care for acrylic jewelry?

Do not use rubbing alcohol on iridescent or mirror acrylic jewelry.

To clean:
• Use a microfiber cloth
• If needed, gently clean with mild soapy water
• Avoid harsh chemicals

Store separately to prevent scratching, especially for mirror or hand-painted details.

SHIPPING & RETURNS

When will my order ship?

Orders typically leave the studio within about one week. You will receive tracking once your handmade jewelry ships.

Shipping is handled via USPS, UPS, or FedEx and includes insurance up to $100.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. International shipping is available. Delivery times vary depending on destination and customs processing.

What is your return policy?

Returns are accepted within 30 days for non-custom jewelry, provided items are unworn and in original condition.

Custom pieces and personalized designs are final sale.

Buyers are responsible for return shipping unless carrier damage is verifiable.

CUSTOM & LIMITED MATERIALS

Can I request custom color jewelry?

Yes. Custom color requests are welcome for many designs. Please contact me to discuss options. A materials page outlining available acrylic sheets and finishes is coming soon.

Will sold-out designs be restocked?

Most designs can be re-cut. However, some specialty acrylic sheets are limited-run materials. Once those materials are gone, they may not return.

If you fall in love with a specific colorway, it’s wise not to wait.

Why is this acrylic jewelry priced higher than typical costume jewelry?

Painted Raina pieces are original designs assembled in small batches using specialty acrylic materials selected for depth, luminosity, and durability.

Production time, curated materials, and quality nickel-free hardware are reflected in the pricing.

This is wearable art — not mass-manufactured costume jewelry.
