These color-shifting, iridescent acrylic Death's-head hawkmoth earrings are lightweight but will make your style anything but silent (just ask the lambs)! This is an exclusive design you can only get from my shop!


Laser-cut acrylic earrings are so comfortable and light weight that you may forget you’re wearing earrings at all – until you receive yet another compliment! I cut, assemble, photograph, and package the earrings in a smoke-free home.


OPTIONS GALORE! I offer several colors and a variety of findings to accommodate your style, including Sterling Silver upgrades! See the photos for a full visual list of available options. The earrings as pictured are made with blue iridescent acrylic and feature the silver flat fish hooks.

Colors Choices:

- Blue Iridescent: Clear cast acrylic that shows an aquamarine tint when held up to the light or placed on a white surface and orange on a black surface, with an iridescent coating that shifts from blues and purples to pinks and oranges depending on the angle viewed, lighting, and surrounding colors. This color will appear orange on brunettes and blue on blondes.

- Pink Iridescent: Clear cast acrylic that shows a light pink tint when held up to the light or placed on a white surface and blue on a black surface, with an iridescent coating that shifts from oranges and pinks to blue and purple depending on the angle viewed, lighting, and surrounding colors. This color will appear blue on brunettes and pink on blondes.

- Frosted Blue Iridescent: Same as regular blue iridescent, but one surface is frosted for a lovely ethereal and elegant effect.

SIZE: The body of the earring is ~1.5” tall (40mm) and ~2.35" (60mm) wide. They are 3mm thick.

Handmade & Made to Order

Every Painted Raina piece is assembled by hand after purchase. Almost all designs are original and laser cut in my Wisconsin studio using specialty acrylics selected for their depth and light interaction. Studio production is intentionally limited.

Production typically takes 2–7 days, depending on complexity. Nothing is pulled from bulk inventory — your piece is built to order.

Color & Finish Variation

Each piece is handmade, and slight variations are part of the process — especially with specialty acrylics.

Many materials are chosen specifically for their luminosity and light-shifting qualities. Color and finish may transform depending on lighting conditions and screen settings. Some finishes glow, some deepen, some flash in sunlight.

That dimensionality is intentional.
Materials & Hardware

Pieces are crafted using specialty acrylics curated for clarity, color architecture, and light response.

Findings include nickel-free stainless steel, plated metals, and sterling silver options. Multiple ear wire styles — hooks, leverbacks, studs, and clip-ons — are available.

Quality hardware matters.
Weight & Wearability

Earrings range from feather-light to lightweight but noticeable, depending on design complexity. Statement necklaces are engineered to feel substantial while remaining wearable — typically light for their size to medium weight.

Shipping & Returns Details

Orders typically leave the studio within about one week. Shipping is handled via USPS, UPS, or FedEx and includes insurance up to $100. International shipping is available.

Returns are accepted within 30 days for non-custom pieces, provided they are unworn and in original condition. Custom pieces are final sale. Buyers are responsible for return shipping unless carrier damage is verifiable.
